The optical reflectance (R) of Ti-6Al-4V and SS316L substrates at the 1064 nm wavelength was about 52.5% and 53.2%, respectively. The optical absorbance (A) of Ti-6Al-4V and SS316L substrates at the fiber laser waveband (1064 nm) was calculated to be approximately 47.5% and 46.8% based on the equation A = 100% − R [40], respectively.
